Pilot Case Mounting System:
BMW R1200GS and
R1200GS Adventure, R1100GS, R1150GS and
R1150GS Adventure
The Pilot Case mounting system is simple, elegant and
functional. Side cases slide on and off
their mounts with ease. The mounting
bracket follows the lines of the frame on
the R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure. The
mounts are nearly invisible on all models
when the cases are off the bike.

All mounting hardware is non-rusting stainless steel
and aluminum, either anodized or powder coated.

Initial installation is simple and turn signals are
not relocated for the R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure.

Note: Mounting hardware for the R1200GS Adventure
is powder coated black to match the bike frame.

The design is extremely robust:
-
¾”
aluminum side frames combined with ¼” stainless steel
brackets support anodized aluminum “bullets”.

The side cases slide onto the bullets and
mate to the mounting blocks.

The side cases have three mounting blocks.
-
Three internal thumbscrews, when tightened, engage a slot in the stainless steel support
brackets and rear stabilizing bar.

Locking tabs prevent the thumbscrews
from loosening.

A
rear stabilizing cross bar prevents the cases from
swaying or flopping.

Micatech
Pilot side cases are designed
to fit the BMW R1200GS, R1200GS Adventure, R1100GS, R1150GS and
R1150 GS Adventure. The cases are
interchangeable on the models,
requiring only a
change of different mounting brackets.
